Two

Ahem, let me try this again...
It's been exactly one year since my first post, so I've got lots of catching up to do. I can't remember what any of my resolutions for 2010 were, but I'm guessing "stop working out" and "forget how to do math" shouldn't be there. Nonetheless, 2010 was one of the greatest transition years of my life! Where to start, hmm? Wait a minute, I never really did start, so allow myself to introduce... myself.
My name is AJ - or Allen, Alan, Adrien, Ajota, Ajax, whatever - Nelson. I grew up in California, Hawaii, Colorado, and Arizona. Most of my learning came from Arizona, so we'll pretend that I was "born'n'raised" here. I'll take a moment to warn the audience that I have strong geek/nerd/dork tendencies, mixed with obsessive homer-ism for Arizona sports teams. Anyway, I don't consider myself "gifted", but I was an excellent student by today's education measures. I figured out very early that hard work leads to less work, so I never messed around when it came to homework/tests/projects. I was great at math and physics, because my brain has the inability to forget anything with equations and graphs, however I frequently forget what I ate for dinner the night before. So, this led to graduating from Arizona State with a Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering and a job at Orbital. Whew, I bet that was boring to read. Too bad, sucker, I bet you will read it again. Oops, that's mean. Let's move on.
Occasionally, I'll bring up subjects that are lame to some people, including Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Magic the Gathering, Chinups, Anime, Warcraft, Battlestar Galactica, Cardinals' defensive schemes, and Suns' Player Efficiency Rating. If it's boring, don't read it.
Alright, back to 2010. It was the first full year that I had zero school. That hasn't happened in... a long time. So, along with school went my math (since physics is kiiiiinda my job, that's still there). Living in Tempe, things were good, but Rudy (my over-dramatic Pug) had to stay inside the condo all dang day while Tisha (my lovely girlfriend) and I were at work. So, it was decided that we would get another dog, named Marty (the absent minded Boston Terrier). That solved one problem, but created another... Now, there were two dogs living in a cooped up space. So, it was time to look for a house. I'll keep the story short: I found a house in Gilbert and bought it. Done.
Wait, what? I got a house? Isn't that crazy?! Nah, it's actually easy if you aren't incompetent, especially with the fancy interwebz. Just take control of your spending and the mortgage payments are manageable (a lot less than most people pay rent for small apartments). New dog: check, new house: check, but now a new problem presented itself... nobody lives in Gilbert! Well, that'll work itself out, I suppose.
I turned 24 in October, but that's no big deal. Age is just a number, right? I still feel like I'm 18, except about 35 pounds heavier and paying way more bills. So, I need to get back running, or join a football team, or start wrestling again. Holiday season was kinda the same as usual, except all of my Christmas presents were totally practical: no DVDs, no video games, just tools and clothes. That brings me to my 2011 resolutions:
1) Get into shape, you lazy bum
2) Keep the house clean
3) Get those pesky wisdom teeth out
4) No more soda or candy, you aren't 11 anymore
